Today Kadokawa Games announced the Steam release of its visual novel/adventure game √Letter (Root Letter), that was initially launched on PS4 and PS Vita, and received a PC release only for Japan via DMM Game Player  back in March.

The game tells the story of a man in his thirties living in Tokyo, traveling to Shimane Prefecture in order to find an old penpal, but things are much more complicated than they seem, and mysteries pile onto each other revelation after revealtion.  The character design by LovePlus artist Mino Taro gives Root Letter a charming look.

The Steam page can be found here, marking the release window as "coming soon, 2017." It also includes a feature list and system requirements.

The game is published directly by Kadokawa Games, without going through the publisher that brought the PS4 and PS Vita versions. At the moment we know that it sold about 200,000 copies worldwide, and the Steam release will probably help grow that number.
