Update: Dark Souls 3’s first DLC expansion – Ashes of Ariandel – will release on October 25, Sony has revealed on Twitter.
It appears that the announcement has come ahead of an official reveal from publisher Bandai Namco, which has yet to detail what is included in the DLC.
The tweet included a link to a YouTube video – presumably a trailer, but remains private at the moment.
Original story: According to Hachima, the first bundle of downloadable content for Dark Souls 3 is set to release in Japan on October 25, with no indication of when it’ll come to other territories.
The expansion will introduce a snow-covered PVP-exclusive map called Immortal Completion. There will also be some new weapons and magic, including some sort of blizzard spell. Those that purchase the season pass on PSN will get a PS4 exclusive theme.
As with any rumors, take this information with many pinches of salt until we receive official word from Bandai Namco.
