Rumor: Phoenix Wright Movie in the Works

on May 23, 2011 5:30 PM

Controversial Japanese film director/actor Takashi Miike, known for his violent adaptation of Ichi the Killer and other violent films, has recently confirmed in an interview with the Huffington Post that he is directing a light and funny court drama based on a popular DS series.

When asked about his next project, Miike states the following in the interview

“It is a very light comedy that I am filming now, a court drama, based on a video game, the Nintendo game DS.”

Given that the Phoenix Wright series is the most popular court-based franchise probably in existence, it’s likely that Miike is in fact working on something about Phoenix Wright, which will probably have a minuscule amount of violence and gore in comparison to Miike’s other films.
