Rumor: Tekken Tag Tournament 2 Headed to PlayStation Vita

on November 22, 2011 9:00 PM

A pair of images has hit the net that practically confirm that Tekken Tag Tournament 2 will be released for the PlayStation Vita. One of the images shows off what appears to be box art and the second shows the character select screen with the player being prompted to enable “NEAR”.¬†NEAR is apparently one of the wireless functions of the Vita that will utilize a 3G connection.

Considering the current trend of fighters being released on handheld consoles, it’s easy to believe that Namco’s Tekken Tag Tournament sequel will be portable soon. It would join BlazBlue: Continuum Shift Extend, Street Fighter X Tekken and Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 on the still unreleased platform. Stay tuned for the eventual official reveal and details.¬†
