Rune Factory Oceans Announced Via Famitsu

Once again, JRPG fans can look to popular Japanese gaming magazine Famitsu for initial announcements of upcoming titles, and the latest Rune Factory game is no exception. Dubbed Rune Factory Oceans, the game will be released in Japan on both the PS3 and the Wii in February of next year. If you’ve played previous games in the series, you’ll know the game focuses heavily on the dating sim aspect, allowing you this time around to play a male and female character, as well as get married and have your characters change throughout the course of the game.

What’s also interesting about this, is that it’s the first JRPG I’ve heard of that will be PlayStation Move compatible. Now, other games in similar franchises on the Wii, such as the Harvest Moon games, have been supporting motion control to some extent for a while now. Things will be kicked up a notch if they include Move support in Rune Factory Oceans. I’m on board, how about you?
