Rurouni Kenshin: Meiji Kenkaku Romantan Kansei Gets a Trailer, Brings Back Memories

Ruroni Kenshin has always been one of my favorite Manga and Anime series of all times. It demonstrated that a story based on fighting an endless sequence of enemies could still be deep and full of intrigue, romance and pathos (something in which more popular anime like Dragonball Z and Naruto failed quite miserably), that’s why I can definitely welcome a new game based on the series with great satisfaction.

Rurouni Kenshin: Meiji Kenkaku Romantan Kansei (Talk about a long title, but, to be fair, it adds only one word to the original title of the Anime) will be released in Japan for the PSP on August the 30, and today Namco Bandai published a new trailer.

The video focuses on both cutscenes (and scenes from the OVA) and gameplay, that features an absolutely lovely “hand drawn” style. While it departs quite radically from the original design of the series, I can’t help but dig it.

You can watch the trailer below and decide if you do as well.
