Sam Fisher Maneuvers Through a Burning Gas Plant In the Latest Splinter Cell: Blacklist Gameplay Trailer

on July 8, 2013 5:27 PM

Ubisoft released demo footage for Splinter Cell: Blacklist, which shows Sam Fisher in the latter stages of a mission taking place in a liquid natural gas plant as it’s literally on fire and collapsing. Splinter Cell: Blacklist will be coming out in North America on August 20th for PC, Xbox 360, PS3 and Wii U.

We see Sam hoisting himself up through the scaffolding a la Uncharted style and sneaking around the various enemy types patrolling the area. Visibility plays an important role in Blacklist since complete darkness means more coverage and a fully lit room spells exposure. The game uses a simple yet clever game mechanic as a visual cue to how exposed Sam is–if the green lights on his Opsuit are at their brightest, then he’s safe, and vice versa. The demo’s pretty interesting so check it for yourself below.
