Warhorse Studio's newest development video for their upcoming realistic medieval RPG Kingdom Come: Deliverance shows the fine art of equestrianism.

The team tried to strike a balance between an animal that you could control but which also has a mind of its own. You can't make your horse go into situations that will endanger it and it will stop moving if you try to make it jump off a cliff for example. Horses will also automatically jump over small obstacles if they are in full trot.

The video shows a very early build of what horseback riding will eventually entail but even at this stage it looks impressive. Horseback riding was an essential part of medieval society so the team is trying to get this aspect of the game just right.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance is currently in development for the PC, Playstation 4 and Xbox One.
