There is a very long list of great games that didn't find the commercial success they deserved on the Wii, and House of the Dead: Overkill is one of them. It was praised by critics for being gory, campy, over-the-top fun, but it never seemed to find its audience. So, like a few other deserving games before it, Sega has deemed it worthy of a second chance at success on the PlayStation 3 with House of the Dead: Overkill - Extended Cut.

The Extended Cut is much more than just a port, though; in addition to being fully HD, it will also feature support for 3D and PlayStation Move. You'll also get to play two brand new scenarios in added on to the original's seven, all brilliantly remastered for the PlayStation 3.

House of the Dead: Overkill - Extended Cut will be out just in time for Halloween this year - October 28th in Europe and October 25th here in the States. And Sega has promised its presence at E3 this year, so expect some more coverage of this little gem from DualShockers in the very near future.
