Sega Goes Crazy With Phantasy Star Online 2 Crossovers: Valkyria Chronicles, Sonic, Virtua Fighter and More

It’s no mystery that Sega loves  crossovers between its franchises, and this time they’re really going overboard. As part of the Phantasy Star Online 2 Thanksgiving 2013 event that will start on June the 12th to celebrate the game’s first anniversary, Phantasy Star Online 2 is going to receive the extreme crossover treatment.

Players will be able to get their hands on costumes and props from several Sega games, including Valkyria Chronicles, Sonic, Puyo Puyo 20th Anniversary, Border Break Union, 7th dragon 2020-II and Virtua Fighter 5.

In addition to that, the game will receive a plethora of new content and will host a concert of the virtual idol Kuna.

Below you can see two trailers featuring the crossover items and the new content (the second focuses specifically on the Border Break Union crossover) and a large batch of screenshots. In the meanwhile we still don’t have any official word on when the game will reach the west. We were supposed to be able to play it by the beginning of this year, but the publisher delayed the release without sharing further details. Hopefully it won’t meet the same end as Valkyria Chronicles 3.
