Sega Japan held a special event called the ARCS X’mas Party, which showcased parts two and three of an episodic offline event as well as other features for their MMOPRG, Phantasy Star Online 2.

Part Two of the event, titled “Episode 2: What you cede shall create,” will be implemented in late December. On January 1st, the lobby will change to celebrate New Year’s Day and two different costume packs will be available for purchase in order to commemorate the Chinese year of the horse. In mid-January 2014, the third part of the event will be released.

We also learn about a new official community service for PSO2. This was then followed by an announcement for the iOS and Android versions of PSO2 (called PSO2 es), which will be released in Spring 2014. Currently the textures, character models and other aspects of the game are being worked on.

Meanwhile, there will be general changes and tweaks to various weapons and other equipment, as well as new FUN shop items and overall improvements to the battle system.

Lastly, there will be an event to celebrate the one year anniversary of the PS Vita version of PSO2; the “ARCS Coalition Festival 2014” is to be held from January 22nd to March 5th, 2014.
