Sega Wishes PlayStation Happy 20th Birthday on the Saturn’s 20th Anniversary

Almost 20 years ago, on December 3rd, 1994, the original PlayStation took the Japanese market by storm, but it wasn’t alone. Just a few days earlier, on November 22nd, Sega released its own console: the Sega Saturn.

Now Sega is out of the console race, but didn’t miss the chance to remember both anniversaries on Twitter, wishing PlayStation a happy birthday, also sharing a picture of something not many know about.

It’s Sega Saturn’s 20th anniversary and PlayStation’s 20th anniversary. Actually, we even released a PlayStation 2 controller in this shape. Congratulations for PlayStation’2 20th Anniversary!

Now the old rivalry is gone, but I still remember the good old times in which it was still going strong. The console war already existed 20 years ago, even if it was a lot less heated than it is now, and probably more fun.

Definitely a multi-platform gamer, he still holds the old dear PC nearest to his heart, while not disregarding any console on the market. RPGs (of any nationality) and MMORPGs are his daily bread, but he enjoys almost every other genre, prominently racing simulators, action and sandbox games. He is also one of the few surviving fans of the flight simulator genre on Earth.
