In Japan there is something called "Golden Week". Four national holidays fall during this week and there is a surge of travelling and shopping during it. To pay homage to this, the PlayStation Network will have its own Golden Week where select PS3 and PS Vita Japanese titles will be given a 50% price drop and a 75% drop for PlayStation Plus Subscribers.

Some of the games in this sale include (but are not limited to): Chrono Trigger, Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc, Devil May Cry HD Collection, Metal Gear Solid HD Collection, Persona 4 Golden, SoulCalibur V, Tales of Symphonia Chronicles and Ys: Memories of Celceta.
