Sengoku Basara 4 Gets a Japanese Release Date, an Ending Theme Performed by SCANDAL and New Trailers

Capcom has revealed the Japanese release date of the upcoming PS3 exclusive action game Sengoku Basara 4. The game will be available on January 23rd, 2014, which is a lot earlier than I was expecting it.

Sengoku Basara 4‘s opening theme will be performed by the popular Japanese singer┬áT.M.Revolution, while its ending theme will be sang by the also popular girl group SCANDAL, who just so happens to have a new song produced by one of my favorite Japanese artists.

Capcom has also shared a pair of new trailers for the game. One of the videos shows off several of the game’s playable characters such has Mitsunari Ishida and Masamune Date, while the other introduces players to some of the game’s mechanics, such as a unique dodge and parrying technique.

There’s been no word on an international release of Sengoku Basara 4, and it seems quite unlikely given Capcom’s past statements on the performance of Samurai Heroes (and their attitude in general lately), but I will still hope for the best.
