A batch of new screenshots and details for the upcoming PlayStation Vita port Dead or Alive 5 Plus have been released. The game will feature cross-platform play, allowing PS Vita users to do battle with PlayStation 3 users playing Dead or Alive 5. A new Training Plus mode will add more lessons or missions to help players get a hold on the games mechanics. The training mode will also be expanded with more detailed frame data.
We’ve already talked about the all new Touch Play mode and the ability to play the game in first person, but you can get a better idea of what this will be like by checking out the newly released screenshots below. The game will also get a collector’s edition release in Japan. This bundle will include 12 “Paradise Sexy” costumes, a custom “I’m a Fighter” PS Vita skin, a special in-game “Extreme Private Gravure Movie”, a beginner’s guide to gravure to go with that movie and the Dead or Alive 5 Soundtrack Volume 2.
This collector’s edition will retail for 9,240 yen and is currently only confirmed for Japan. Japanese first press runs of the game will also come with cheerleader costumes for Ayane, Tina and Kasumi. Both the cheerleader costumes and the Paradise Sexy costumes will be sold as premium DLC sometime after the game’s launch. Hopefully all of these delectable DOA goodies will also reach North America, where Dead or Alive 5 Plus will be available on March 19th, 2013.
