Serious Sam: The Random Encounter Gets a Release Date (Sort Of)

on September 27, 2011 4:00 PM

With Serious Sam: Double D released and Serious Sam: Kamikaze Attack just making its launch last week, all eyes rest on indie awesomenauts Vlambeer and their remaining Serious Sam spin-off, The Random Encounter. Not much was revealed about the turn-based RPG til over the weekend, when the guys made a blog post detailing the status of all their current projects.

According to them, Serious Sam: The Random Encounter will drop on the PC in late September or early October for a price somewhere around $5. Yeah, there isn’t much info beyond that, but come on, it’s a Serious Sam themed game with turn-based RPG elements, from the same guys that brought you Super Crate Box. How do you not want the game just based on that information alone?

Allen is an utter whore of a gamer; he's completely open-minded to all games, be they AAA blockbusters or $5 casual children's games. His focus is on indie games specifically, valuing gameplay and ingenuity over sparkly visuals and ridiculous gimmicks. When he's not geeking out over the newest art game, he's out toning his sexy, sculpted shoulders while surfing epic 1.5ft waves, or having a good time with local, high-gravity microbrews.
