Today, with no prior announcement or hint, independent developer Drinkbox Studios released its game Severed on the Nintendo Switch.

As of the time of this writing, no Nintendo Switch exclusive features have been revealed, however it has been confirmed that the game will of course utilize the device's touchscreen.

A launch trailer for the game was also released, which you can check out at the end of the article.

In Severed, players take control of a one-armed girl named Sasha, who is searching the world for her family after their mysterious disappearance. During your journey, you'll have to use your touchscreen to not only kill monsters with your mighty sword, but to also solve puzzles that block your path. While this is an action-adventure game at heart, players are able to upgrade Sasha's weapons, armor, and skills in an RPG-inspired skill tree.

You can enjoy the trailer below, and if you want to see more, you can check out another trailer from April.

Severed was originally released on April 26th, 2016, and is also available on PlayStation Vita, Wii U, Nintendo 3DS, and iOS devices. Like most other versions of Severed, the Nintendo Switch edition costs players $14.99. Right now, the game is only available in the United Kingdom eShop, however this is expected to change soon.
