Vblank Entertainment launched the debut trailer for their retro-action game Shakedown: Hawaii, coming to PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo 3DS, and PC-via Steam.

The trailer details the story featured in Shakedown: Hawaii, where players assume the role of an anti-hero who is caught in the times. In order to get back on top he has the goal to own the entire island of Hawaii and he’ll accomplish this by any means possible.

The developer mentions “Where ‘Retro City Rampage’ was a send up to video games and pop culture, ‘Shakedown: Hawaii’ is a parody of mega corporations, white collar crimes, and the most comically egregious business practices that go alongside”. It’s also added that this game is not Retro City Rampage 2, it’s only similar in appearance.

Players will get to run around an open city reminiscent of classic GTA games as well as play through Ikari Warriors style action maps in order to get the property that they want. This also mean they’ll get to burn down a few buildings and perhaps some people will die in the player’s quest to the top, but it’s all business.

In the future, fans can expect new mission and character reveals along with extended gameplay showings as they await the official launch date.
