Today Yu Suzuki's development studio Ys Net released a new batch of screenshots of its upcoming Shenmue sequel Shenmue III.

The screenshots focus on the series' protagonist, Ryo Hazuki, who will return in the new chapter to continue his adventure.

It's worth mentioning that these screenshots represent a game deep in development, which won't be released until the second half of 2018. In a year, a lot will probably change.

Check them out below, and if you want to see more, you can enjoy the first trailer and more screenshots, another batch, and the announcement of the publishing partnership with Deep Silver.

Shenmue III has been recently delayed to the second half of next year to make it “bigger and more beautiful.” You can also check out a new character revealed a few months ago, and a video showcasing Yu Suzuki himself as he talks about storytelling. In case you missed it, you can also read our own interview with Suzuki-san as well.

The game will release for PS4 and PC.
