Remember when Crysis was released, and PC gamers around the world gasped at how technologically demanding the specs were? No doubt, you'd probably expect the same from the sequel, right?

Apparently not; the specs have just been released for the PC version, and they seem completely reasonable. VG247 has just posted them, and the minimum specs look to be:

  • Intel Core 2 Duo or AMD Athlon 64 X2 2GHz or better
  • Nvidia 8800 GT or higher
  • 2 GB RAM
  • Windows XP/Vista/7
  • 9 GB free hard disk space
  • Internet connection

Considering Crysis was actually took up 3GB more hard disk space and required around the same processor requirements, this isn't bad at all. Looks like I won't have to upgrade my rig at all.  I guess for once we have to thank consoles for giving us such reasonable PC specs.

Crysis 2 comes out March 22 for the PS3, PC, and XBox 360.
