ShockCast Ep. 139 – “Gamescom 2013: Day Zero, Ground Zero”

on August 22, 2013 10:00 AM

The next-generation console war may have officially started at the beginning of 2013, but the bombshell confirmation of the PlayStation 4’s official release date has solidified the battle of the living room (or basement, or other rooms) for the holiday season. Gamescom is regarded as the E3 of Europe, and we decide to record immediately after Sony’s press conference, which means you will hear us talk about Microsoft and EA’s conferences and announcements as well.

I was lucky enough to be joined by two of the ShockCast’s veterans including Joel Taveras (Deputy Editor & Co-Founder) and Al Zamora (Co-Founder), along with Allisa James (Staff Writer), Kenneth Richardson (Staff Writer), and a mute Dianna Lora (Community Manager). Many thanks to El Blanco Niño (and Nintendo) for our custom intro and outro. Enjoy the show!
