Now that next gen has officially begun folks are taking to the internet to voice their concerns over microtransactions showing up in games like Ryse: Son of Rome, Forza 5, and now even last gen titles like the upcoming Gran Turismo 6. Just like DLC (downloadable content) made a big splash during the last generation of consoles, it seems that this convenient way of unlocking content through microtransactions will probably become the next big thing for publishers; and just like the DLC that came before it, these purchased bits of content will likely become a hot button issue as we transition into this new generation of consoles. I decided talk about it in this (our very first )edition of ShockReaction. Check out the full clip below and let us know what you think about it in the comments section.

Note: a part of the video I call micro-transactions an "added cost." What I mean to say was "alternative" cost. Carry on.
