Shuhei Yoshida: Hopefully PS4’s DualShock 4 Analog Sticks Won’t Get Slimy, Stand Confirmed Sold Separate

Ever left your DualShock 2 or 3 controllers unattended for a while only to find the analog sticks covered by a sticky, yucky, slimy substance that seemed to come from nowhere and was really hard to remove? I sure did, and many others experienced that annoying surprise.

Suhei Yoshida hopes it won’t happen with the PS4’s DualShock 4, because the sticks are made of a different material, as he confirmed on Twitter.

He also confirmed that the stand for the console will be sold separate. A lot of fans were wondering about that, since the picture appeared on Amazon UK featuring the contents of the box shown the PS4 sitting on the stand itself.

While some will be certanly disappointed by hearing that the stand isn’t included in the box, I’m sure most will rejoice about the perspective of being freed from that yucky slime blemishing their favorite controller. I can say I am, as it used to drive me absolutely crazy and still does.
