Side-Scroller Showdown Deadline Extended

THQ*ICE, the recently launched joint venture between THQ and ICE Entertainment to focus on free-to-play online games, announced that due to overwhelming positive response it will extend the deadline of the Dragonica Online “Side-Scroller Showdown.” People looking to submit their opinion now have until March 31st to register to decide which is more fun: Dragonica Online or their free-to-play MMO they’re playing now.

“We are ecstatic to see the amount of interest this campaign has generated in the free-to-play MMO space,” said Eddie Chen, CEO of THQ*ICE. “When we first started this program I said we were confident players would see that Dragonica Online offers above and beyond what any other MMO out there provides; now the numbers prove it!”

People who register and vote are eligible to receive $5 dollars in-game credit for Dragonica Online, or another game. If the participant votes for Dragonica Online they will also get an exclusive side-scroller showdown gift. Does that seem a little bit like bribery to anyone else? Doesn’t really matter to me though, as I’ll play anything to avoid playing an MMO.

Currently going to school in Indiana so when Drew isn't studying, you can find him playing games. Though he is typically playing games from this current generation, he'll still bust out classic consoles for a night of nostalgic gaming. If he is not studying or gaming, he is usually out working on his photography. Thinks sleep is for the weak. Favorite Games: Metal Gear Solid, Mega Man 2, Goldeneye
