Just when you thought Angry Birds had slowed its hostile takeover of mobile and casual gaming, they've turned their attention to social networking sites. Rovio has announced that Angry Birds will be ported to Facebook starting February 14, Valentine's Day.

The Facebook version of the game will be the same shtick -- fling birds at pigs, knock crap down, briefly feel accomplished, repeat -- but with a few changes exclusive to the site. Players on Facebook can score power-ups in the former of larger, even angrier birds and earthquakes to help them knock down those last few pigs. They can also buy power-ups, which will cost $0.99 for their impatience. There is no word yet on whether the port will require Facebook points or if Rovio will be charging real-world money.
