Following the game's reveal at ChinaJoy Dark Star Studios and Another Indie Studio released the first official 1080p screenshots of their upcoming souls-like title Sinner: Sacrifice for Redemption.

The screenshots gives us another look on the eerie world and fearsome bosses included in the game, that is inspired by games like Shadow of the Colossus on top of the obvious parallel with the Souls series.

The game tells the story of a dead soldier named Adam, who needs to fight eight bosses to save his soul. The definitely original twist is that before each boss Adam needs to choose which one of his stats to sacrifice, increasing the level of challenge and adding a really interesting layer of strategy to the basic "masocore" concept.

Of course, the game promises super-tough boss fights and plenty of weapons to deck out Adam with.

The game will release in the first quarter of 2018 for PS4, Xbox One and PC, and thanks to this original twist applied to a familiar and beloved concept, it could very well be one to watch.

In the meanwhile, you can check out the screenshots below, and if you want to see more, you can also enjoy the original announcement trailer.
