Six New Tony Hawk Screens Show Off Some Sick Moves

Rodney Mullen’s back. So, it seems, is Eric Koston. And, of course, you couldn’t have a Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater game without the titular extreme sports star. The six new screens show these three THPS vets and newcomer Nyjah Huston kickflipping and grinding all over a few of the confirmed stages for the HD remake of the first two titles. Okay, Huston may not be a newcomer in the strictest sense of the term, but he wasn’t around when these levels’ graphics featured — and this is a rough estimate — 85 percent more jaggies.

We’ll definitely be seeing Warehouse, School 2, Mall, Phoenix, Hangar, Marseilles and Venice in Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater HD, some of them chosen because of their high demand on Twitter. Check out the full gallery after the jump.

We still haven’t heard whether or not the music from the originals will return, most likely because of backroom deals having to do with everyone’s favorite facet of this industry: copyright. After all, besides ironic purchases so hipsters can play “Last Resort” at their PBR-fests, I’m not sure Papa Roach would have many other sources of income.

Regardless, you can look forward to holding manuals forever for a bajillion points — again, an estimate — when Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater HD is available for the Xbox LIVE Arcade and the PlayStation Network later this year. And if you want to suggest a few more stages, go ahead and direct your inquiries @TonyHawksPSHD.
