E3 2012: Slam Thugs and Zip Through Manhattan With This Amazing Spider-Man E3 Trailer

Beenox and Activision released a new playground trailer for their upcoming Amazing Spider-Man tie-in game. This is the second trailer of three exhibiting the game’s sandbox (they call it playground) mechanic, a feature that hasn’t been prevalent in a Spidey title since 2004’s Spider-Man 2. Follow Peter as he climbs, swings, and web zips his way through  the great city of Manhattan to stop thugs, the Rhino, and the genetic experiments of Dr. Curt Conners, the Lizard.

A lot of people are going to make Arkham comparisons, but Spidey and Activision were the first to take a swing at the sandbox superhero adventure. The game releases in just short of three weeks, and I can’t wait until I get my hands on it. In the meanwhile, you can enjoy the trailer below.
