Snake Skin Will Release Alongside Metal Gear Solid’s 3DS Debut

Oh, geez. First Nintendo releases a special edition 3DS with eagle Triforce emblems on it and now this. But wait. Instead of an engraving on the handheld, Konami’s Metal Gear Solid: Snake Eater 3D is getting a custom sticker courtesy of Japanese accessory-maker Hori. I’m a fan of paying less than $170 to geek-out my hardware.

You don’t need to be a hardcore Metal Gear-head to admit this 3DS skin looks pretty darn sexy. For now, Hori has only confirmed the sticker will be available in Japan, but don’t be surprised if you see the accessory available in the U.S. through Amazon or Hori’s official U.S. store when Snake Eater 3D drops March 8.

The sticker will retail for ¥2,981 in Japan, or approximately $38 USD.
