The second chapter in Deathstorm, a new mini-campaign for Sniper Elite 4 is available to purchase today on PS4, Xbox One, and PC, developer Rebellion Developments has announced. Additionally, the game's Urban Assault Expansion Pack also arrives today, along with a huge free update that notably delivers a new map, competitive mode, and Survival mission.
The second chapter in Deathstorm, titled Deathstorm Part 2: Infiltration, like the first chapter, Deathstorm Part 1: Inception, can be played with 1-2 players.
The second chapter picks up with Agent Karl Fairburne having recovered the ‘Deathstorm’ package – canisters full of deadly plutonium particles. Now he's been dispatched to the Fascist-occupied north of Italy to find out exactly what the Nazis are planning for their new weapon. Players will specifically be heading to the beautiful medieval town of Niroli, which has been transformed into regional centre for the Nazi propaganda machine and garrisoned with a strong Italian force. Here holds the key to Deathstorm.
Karl must infiltrate the town, find a prominent Italian scientist and rescue his wife – a crucial Allied informant - before it’s too late. The chapter is set at dusk amidst the winding alleys, yawning rooftops and lofty towers of a venerable walled city. It also notably includes not only a new tactically varied environment, but a new enemy unit, and an "explosive" new weapon.
Beyond the second chapter of Deathstorm, Sniper Elite 4 is also getting the Urban Assault Expansion Pack today, which comes with 8 urban-themed rifle skins, male and female ghillie characters and 3 iconic new weapons: the Winchester, Sten and Walther PPK.
Lastly, there is a new "huge" free update packed with new content and gameplay tweaks. Some of this content includes a free new map called Urban, and a new multiplayer mode: Capture the Flag.
Deathstorm Part 2: Infiltration costs $6.99 USD (is included with the Season Pass) and the Urban Assault Expansion Pack costs $7.99 USD (is included with the Season Pass).
