Today, developer CI Games, developer of the Sniper: Ghost Warrior series and Lords of the Fallen, released a new gameplay walkthrough video for its upcoming game Sniper: Ghost Warrior 3. The new video reveals a new mission, and explores the never-before-seen slaughterhouse map location.

The slaughterhouse, which has been repurposed by separatists to be a site for body disposal and interrogations,  is located deep in the snowy Georgian Mountains, and holds an American prisoner, who you need to rescue. According to CI Games, the new area plays and feels completely different to past areas it has shown off.

The new video, which is nearly 17 minutes long and takes place two thirds into the game, also shows off the game's aerial drone, which is new to the series. The drone can be upgraded with things like hacking mods, and advanced camouflage that allow it flexibility to be useful for a variety of different missions that will require different uses of the drone. As you could guess, the drone provides a good opportunity to fly over an area you're infiltrating and get a better idea of where everything is. It also shows off sabotage objects like generators and fuses boxes, which can be used to manipulate the AI. However, the drone can be seen and destroyed by the enemies, so it's best to be stealthy about it.

The video also showcases the game's freedom of choice when approaching and completing missions. In this particular missions we see protagonist, American Marine Jon North, pick off lone separatists on watch, before using his Ghost skills to take out the enemy stealthily, in order to rescue the prisoner before he dies. More specifically, the video reveals that outposts will have more than just armed soldiers, they will often things like mine fields that you will have to maneuver by tracing tracks for a clear path through. Tracks can also reveal clues about specific targets, and reveal enemy locations. Further, you can disarm a trap or a mine for resources, though what resources exactly was divulged.

While the environment can be useful for purposes of infiltration, it can also cause many issues. For example, there are plenty of wild animals you will have to watch out for, and cliffs you will need to be careful when navigating.
