SNK Playmore, King of Fighters series developer, announced today that they would be pulling out of the Pachinko business to refocus on the smartphone and consumer games markets.

The reasons for this decision was due to the declining number of players, new regulations that have been causing uncertainties in operating in the market and general difficulties in meeting business projections.

The report also mentioned that the company currently has 20 smartphone titles, including Metal Slug Defense which has been downloaded 2.6 million times.
