Someone Has Recreated Aperture Science for TF2. He Deserves a Nobel Prize.

Some freakin brilliant mastermind named Eugenio “Motanum” Roman has created a map for Team Fortress 2 that poses as a successful tribute to Portal. The King of the Hill map takes place in and around the Aperture Science facility, with the Red team starting near GLaDOS’ room, and the Blu team starting on a helipad just outside the building.

Unfortunately, no Portal gun, but there are stationary portals which presumably remain open as shortcuts, along with those traveling energy balls that’ll probably one-hit kill you if you run into them, just like in Portal.

Beyond the fact that it’s complete and utter fan service, the map in itself actually looks pretty fun. I have weekly “TF2sday” nights with my buddies on one of their public servers; perhaps I’ll convince him to download this map for the server so we can try it out. Download the map here.

Allen is an utter whore of a gamer; he's completely open-minded to all games, be they AAA blockbusters or $5 casual children's games. His focus is on indie games specifically, valuing gameplay and ingenuity over sparkly visuals and ridiculous gimmicks. When he's not geeking out over the newest art game, he's out toning his sexy, sculpted shoulders while surfing epic 1.5ft waves, or having a good time with local, high-gravity microbrews.
