Sonic 4 Brings You Tails This Year, But Not if You Own a Wii

on January 1, 2012 6:00 PM

The announcement trailer for Sonic the Hedgehog 4: Episode II makes sure you know Tails is in the mix this time around. But the list of supported platforms at the end holds one glaring omission (well, glaring if all you own is Nintendo products.) Yes, it looks like everyone but Wii owners will join Sonic and Mr. Prower on their latest adventure.

Brand Manager Ken Balough has told users at the official Sega forum that the move was done for “reasons most people have probably guessed,” which can be translated as “it just didn’t sell.” Interestingly, the engine for the second episode has also been reworked, so if you didn’t like the way Episode I felt, looks like you’ve been heard. Check out the trailer after the jump.
