Sonic Lost World has much in common with its predecessor, Sonic Generations, in that many of the game’s aesthetics can be traced back to the franchise’s roots in the original three games on the Sega Genesis. These brand-new screens definitely have a resemblance to the old Green Hill Zone and Casino Night Zones that were present in Sonic the Hedgehog 1 and 3, respectively.

Sonic Lost World is being developed by Sonic Team and will be published by Nintendo for the Wii U and 3DS on October 18th, 22nd, and 24th, 2013 in Europe, the United States, and Japan, respectively. You can check out the new screens below.
