Sonic the Hedgehog, Ecco the Dolphin, Shinobi, and other Sega Classics Getting 3D Remakes on 3DS eShop Later this Year

90s-era Sega titles like Sonic the Hedgehog, Ecco the Dolphin, and so many others bring back plenty of warm memories and gaming nostalgia – luckily, many of these titles will be making their reappearance on 3DS later this year.

Sega confirmed that a number of its vintage titles will be heading to the 3DS eShop in November and December, with eight of its classic titles heading to the Nintendo portable at $5.99 each, as detailed in a post on the company’s blog:

  • 3D Space Harrier (11/28)
  • 3D Super Hang-On (11/28)
  • 3D Sonic the Hedgehog (12/5)
  • 3D Altered Beast (12/5)
  • 3D Ecco the Dolphin (12/12)
  • 3D Galaxy Force II (12/12)
  • 3D Shinobi III (12/19)
  • 3D Streets of Rage (12/19)

Sega also mentioned that more details for the games, such as interviews with the developers of the remakes and more production info on their 3D remakes, will be coming in the next few weeks as the titles comes closer to release.
