The advent of the PS4 Slim also brought a new price, which in Japan drops from 34,980 plus taxes to 29,980 yen for the 500 GB model. In order to advertise the change, Sony Interactive Entertainment has partnered with Atlus and its upcoming JRPG Persona 5.

You can check out the ad below, associating the game with the new and cheaper console. Incidentally, that's quite appropriate since the PS4 slim and Persona 5 will both be released in Japan on September 15th.

Incidentally, the singer poses as Ichiyo Higuchi, writer and poet from the Meiji era, who appears on 5,000 yen notes. 5,000 yen is the amount of the price drop from the original PS4 to the PS4 Slim.

To top it all off, a "PlayStation 4 Persona 5 Starter Limited Pack" will be released in Japan for 39,980 yen, including the 1 TB version of the PS4 slim, a copy of Persona 5, and a download code for an original PS4 theme and an avatar pack. You can see a picture at the bottom of the post.
