Sony Applies for “Rise of the Kasai” Trademark in Europe

on March 3, 2016 10:30 AM

According to the Office of Harmonization in the Internal Market (OHIM) — the European Unions principal trademark registration catalog — Sony Computer Entertainment Europe has filed an application for “Rise of the Kasai.” The application is filed under class 9 for game software (which is separate from Class 41 online game software).

Rise of the Kasai

For those in the know, Rise of the Kasai was BottleRocket Entertainment’s 2006 follow up for The Mark of Kri — both of which released on PlayStation 2.

While there is no way to know for sure, it is fair to speculate that Rise of the Kasai will be the latest in the PS2 games re-released for PlayStation 4, given that The Mark of Kri has already made it onto the list. However, feel free to make your own guesses in the comments.
