Sony Celebrates the PS4 Release of Journey with New Limited Edition Collectible Statue

Originally released for the PS3 in 2012, thatgamecompany’s Journey quickly gained the admiration of both players and critics everywhere with its emotional, transcendent gameplay experience, and for many players both old and new the PS4 version released this week will allow them to experience it all for the first time or once again: even better, a new collectible is celebrating the experience as well.

In celebration of the PS4 version of Journey releasing this week, Sony has added a new collectible to its online PlayStation Gear Store for merchandise and memorabilia with a brand new, limited edition Journey statue featuring the game’s iconic “pilgrims.”

The statue was designed by collectible artist Tim Miller, a designer and sculpture artist previously know for creating collectibles for items based on Star WarsThe Lord of the Rings, and numerous other franchises.

In particular, this collectible statue for Journey measures 11″ high x 8″ wide x 10″ deep and is made from a polystone material. In addition to the statue, purchases will also include a 5×7″ color print of concept art from the statue’s design by Journey art director, Matt Nava.

The Journey collectible statue is currently available for sale now on the PlayStation Gear Store for $150.00 – however, supplies of the collectible statue are limited to 1,000 pieces, with shipping expected to begin on July 31st. As of this writing the collectible is still in stock, but you’ll have to act sooner rather than later if you want to pick one up before supplies run out, which you can do by clicking here for the pre-sale now.
