Sony Japan Honcho Teases Unannounced PS4 Game, Talks About Constant PS4 Releases and Competition

on January 8, 2014 4:48 PM

Sony Computer Entertainment Japan and Asia President Hiroshi Kawano was interviewed on the latest issue of the Japanese magazine Weekly Famitsu, and he mentioned a few very interesting details about an unannounced PS4 game and his opinion on the competition on the local market.

I’d be lying if I said I’m not very aware of the competition with other platforms, but that’s not all that matters. What really matters is that the industry is still an interesting place to work in and is growing.

To the question on whether there are plans to release new titles often after the release of the console, he responded:

The plan is to release software on PS4 constantly after launch.

There’s also one title I can’t yet announce. I’m considering how to disclose it in the future, so look forward to it.

While we have no information on what game Kawano-san is talking about, it’s most likely a title from Sony Japan Studio, even if there’s no way to be sure about that. Of course we’ll keep you posted as soon as we receive further details.
