Sony Japan Studio’s PS Vita Exclusive Freedom Wars Gets New Info and Screenshots About the “Thorn”

on December 5, 2013 5:19 PM

Today Sony Computer Entertainment Japan and Asia released a new batch of information and screenshots of Freedom Wars, specifically about the “thorn,” the special weapon that every volunteer in the game uses.

The thorn is basically a long and thorny lasso that can be used not only in a way similar to Spider Man’s webs as we already knew, but also in an offensive fashion. Several players using their thorns at the same time can effectively immobilize an abductor (the massive biological weapons that serve as enemies in the game) in order to facilitate its defeat.

Below you can check out the four new screenshots released today. Unfortunately three of them are really, really tiny. The Japanese branch of Sony Computer Entertainment never really learned the value of full resolution screenshots, apparently.
