Today Sega released a new trailer and announced a new western release window for Yakuza Zero, and they followed up with a press release sent to DualShockers including some interesting information.

First of all, the publisher clarified that the localization of the game is 100% its own initiative, and that Sony is not involved.

"Yakuza 0 is being localized 100% as a SEGA initiative. PlayStation isn't involved on a production level with this title."

The press release also mentioned that at the moment Sega is targeting a simultaneous release in both North America and Europe, within the announced early 2017 time frame.

Interestingly, the press release also mention that the game is going on sale on the PlayStation Store, with a 25% discount. At the moment of this writing the promotion still isn't active, but it'll probably go up soon, and will last until April 5th.

As a final, and funny note of color, the press release celebrated the announcement with the following animated GIF.
