Sony’s On their Way Back Up

Well, if you thought Sony was just going to sit there and let Microsoft and Nintendo have all the fun, think again. Sony has just announced a 76% increase in hardware sales from just a year ago. Sony moved 3.8 million units in the holiday season which runs from the last week of November to the 5 weeks afterward. Combining the PS3 slim, new software titles, and new content available on the Playstation Network has propelled Sony towards an even better 2010 and putting them right in the console war mix.

Uncharted 2: Among Thieves from SCE, Ubisoft’s Assassin’s Creed® II, Infinity Ward’s Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 from Activision, and FINAL FANTASY XIII from SQUARE ENIX CO., LTD. FINAL FANTASY XIII for North America and Europe/PAL territories which will be available on March 9, 2010 have all contributed to the exciting growth that Sony is currently experiencing. With even more blu ray games and content on the way, Sony may well be on it’s way back to the top where it experienced unprecedented success with the PS2. Anticipated titles such as God of War 3, Gran Turismo™ 5, MAG, Heavy Rain and ModNation Racers will certainly add to the excitement for fans. And with Sony bringing out it’s own Motion Controller in the near future, we can almost certainly expect games that will utilize it’s full potential. Whatever Sony has in store for us, it is indeed exciting to be gamer in 2010.
