Sony Santa Monica Sponsors Demo Event To Increase Girls’ Interest in Technology

Sony Santa Monica will be the primary sponsor of the DIY Girls Social event in Santa Monica from 7 to 10 PM on December 4th.

Here’s what the event will entail:

Join us for a ‘must-attend’ evening social offering interactive tech demos and opportunities to meet like-minded tech professionals while supporting access to innovation for underserved girls in LA.

Don’t miss a chance to demo the Oculus Rift, a virtual reality headset that lets players step inside games and virtual worlds and also see a drone demo from LA’s only R&D Multirotor Lab, Ctrl.me We’ll also have whiskey and tequila tastings and a silent auction.

DIY Girls is an organization that aims to  increase girls’ interest and success in technology and engineerings through educational programs and events designed to encourage engagement with tech, promote self-confidence and support aspiration to technical careers.
