Sony Thanks Their MMO Players

on November 23, 2009 7:48 PM

This Thanksgiving week, Sony Online Entertainment is going to share in the festivities by giving players a 25% bonus value on all the Station Cash cards sold at retail outlets.  Starting today and running through the end of the week (Sunday, November 29), everyone who purchases and redeems a Station Cash card will get an extra 25%.  Sounds like a sweet deal, if you’re into the MMOs that use that currency, such as EverQuest II and Free Realms.  Keep in mind that the purchase isn’t what gets you the extra cash – you actually have to redeem the cards this week, which is unfortunate for those parents who might be buying the cards for their kids for Christmas.

Needless to say, it’s a nice deal if it works for you.  Here’s a long list of retailers Sony has provided that should sell the cards nationwide.

  • 7-11
  • Best Buy
  • Blockbuster
  • CVS
  • GameStop
  • Rite Aid
  • Speedway
  • Target
  • TRU
  • TWEC
  • Wal-Mart
  • Walgreens
