Today the Japanese Computer Entertainment Supplier’s Association and Nikkei Business Publications, that organize Tokyo Game Show, sent in a press release announcing that applications for the event's “Indie Game Area” and "Sense of Wonder Night 2017" project.

If you’re not familiar with it, Sense of Wonder Night “is a project to showcase game ideas that will catch people by surprise and give them a “Sense of Wonder”- a feeling that something will change in players’ world.”

The deadline for application will be on June 9th, with participants selected by the Tokyo Game Show management office.

The press release also confirmed that Sony Interactive Entertainment Japan and Asia will sponsor selected indie participants, covering the full booth fee of 99,900 yen ($898) each. The house of PlayStation has been doing this for a few years already.

Tokyo Game Show will be held at the Makuhari Messe in Chiba, between September 21st and September 24th.
