Sony often releases new PS2 classics on PS4 via the recently added emulation feature without much of an official announcement, and this is one of those cases.

Today, the 2002 classic by SCE Japan Studio Ape Escape 2 was made available on the European PlayStation Store, while it isn’t yet posted on the North American one.

The price is currently at £5.99 for PlayStation Plus subscribers, and £7.99 for everyone else. Here’s the official description.

Jimmy had ONE job – deliver a cargo of Monkey Pants to Monkey Park. But mixed up in the shipment was a batch of the intelligence-boosting Peak Point Helmets!

The good news – the monkeys all have pants on. This is a family game.

The bad news – sinister simian Specter has his intellect back, and is marshalling the monkeys to take over the world!

You better get to work, Jimmy…

This PlayStation®2 classic looks stunning in HD on PlayStation®4 and features full trophy support plus Share Play, Remote Play, activity feeds and second screen support for game manuals with PlayStation®Vita or the PlayStation®App.

Definitely a multi-platform gamer, he still holds the old dear PC nearest to his heart, while not disregarding any console on the market. RPGs (of any nationality) and MMORPGs are his daily bread, but he enjoys almost every other genre, prominently racing simulators, action and sandbox games. He is also one of the few surviving fans of the flight simulator genre on Earth.
