Sony’s Shuhei Yoshida Will Speak at DICE About 20 Years of PlayStation, First and Third Parties and More

The Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciences announced today that Sony Worldwide Studios President Shuhei Yoshida will speak at the 2015 D.I.C.E. Summit which will be held in Las Vegas between February 3rd and February 5th.

While the precise schedule of the panels hasn’t been determined yet, speakers will be focused between February 4th and February 5th.

Yoshida-san will be interviewed by Oddworld creator Lorne Lanning, and will talk about the twenty years of PlayStation history from his personal point of view, the past, present and future of the brand, and his views on “fostering game development, first party and third party, and how the barriers between “Indie” and “AAA” are dissolving as the industry embraces a new phase of openness.”

Considering the fact that Yoshida-san’s speeches are normally some of the most interesting (and at times even funny) to watch among those given by industry professional, I definitely hope that it will be livestreamed.

Normally D.I.C.E. speeches do get broadcasted, so there are good chances we’ll be able to see this one as well.
