Today Bandai Namco released a definitely intriguing trailer titled “SoulCalibur 20th Anniversary,” celebrating the past chapters of the popular fighting series.

The trailer showcases the entries in the series from the original Soul Edge to SoulCalibur: Lost Swords, ending with the slogan “The Legend Will Never Die.”

The description also links to a “Project Soul” website, that at the moment just returns a test page.

Update: the page is now open, and showcases the previous games of the series, as well as the recently announcedĀ SoulCaliburĀ pachislot, a timeline, and a few messages from developers. For now, it doesn’t include hints on future titles.

We don’t know whether this is just a celebration of the series’ history (even if that appears pretty unlikely) or a tease for something new. What we do know, is that the 20th anniversary of the first Soul Edge will happen on December 20th. It’s most probable that whatever this is about, it’ll be revealed by then.

In the meanwhile, you can enjoy the trailer below.
