Streum On Studio and Focus Home Interactive released thirteen minutes of uncut gameplay footage today for Space Hulk: Deathwing, a first person shooter set in the Warhammer 40K universe.

This footage comes from the game’s single player campaign, where the player’s Deathwing Squad must purge a Xenos threat that has risen from the depths of the Space Hulk. This new strain has created a new enemy that resembles a Ymgarl Genestealer, except these ones are even more though, cunning, and lethal. This is the second video featuring footage from the game’s solo campaign, as one seventeen minutes in length was released back in November. You can watch that footage here.

In Space Hulk: Deathwing, players will be able to customize their squad mates’ loadouts along with their own in order to best combat this threat. The example given by the developers was one where the player’s squad mates are equipped mainly with shields and war hammers. This will make you squad a very hard hitting force, but in the process would sacrifice your squad’s ability to have decent ranged damage or healing abilities.

This footage comes after the game’s Technical Beta, which helped the developers test the game’s co-op gameplay. During the beta, Focus Home Interactive reported that tens of thousands of players helped test out the game, and winded up killing several million genestealers  in the process. The Technical Beta has also allowed Streum On Studio to make several unspecified gameplay adjustments along with some technical tweaks to make Space Hulk: Deathwing a smoother experience for all players.

You can watch the gameplay footage below. Space Hulk: Deathwing will be available on PC December 9. The game is currently available to pre-order on Steam. Those who pre-order the game here will recieve a 15% discount and an exclusive in-game weapon – The Lost Mace of Corswain. The game is set to release on consoles in 2017.
